Summer Camps
June 11th through June 15th Comedy Sketch Camp – We welcome Arizoni Award winning actors Justin Flores and Megan O’
Grady to our team. Justin and Megan are veteran actors who have appeared in
many memorable shows around the valley including Phoenix Theatre, Greasepaint,
Theater Works and Creative Stages. Now pursuing their dreams in college, they
come to CSYT to lead what promises to be an incredible theatre experience.
Learn how to create hilarious characters, comedic timing, improvisation and
develop comedy sketches for performance. FINAL performance is 6pm on June
15th. Ages 8 to 14
June 18th through June 22nd Improv Camp: Whose
Line is it….? - The
incredible skill of improvisation is highlighted here. You will learn the art
through tons of improv games and exercises. There will be a closing “Whose Line
is it Anyway” improvisation show PLUS a comedy show CREATED by the cast and
directors! Performance is June 22nd at 6pm Ages 10 and
up
Ages 8 to 16
June 25th through June 29th Creative Camp - This is camp where you can be as
creative as you want to, and have a blast doing it! The cast will create and
write scenes where all actors will play several different characters in one big
show! Jim Gradillas, will lead this cast into the world of creativity!
Performance is June 29th at 6pm
July 9th through July 13th Slapstick Camp –Watch out
for that Banana Peel!! Join Artistic Director Jim Gradillas and professional actress/director
Heather Cambanes(back for the summer from New York)t as they teach the art of
physical comedy! Falls, Trips, Stage Combat, Hilarious
Characters, Big Reactions and Wacky situations. Learn the art of comedic
slapstick and get ready for the big show featuring a complete SHOW filled with
SLAPSTICK HUMOR! Performance is July 13th at 6pm

July 16th through July 27th Teen Acting Camp (2 Week Camp) - Last years The Teenage Human proved to be the summer’s
surprise hit! It was an amazing experience for our young actors who wanted to
learn dramatic acting while creating an unforgettable stage play. This year, the
project is “Mirrors” a teenage drama written by Jim Gradillas. The show will be
created and worked throughout the camp and topped off by two memorable
performances. Performances are July 26th and 27th at 6pm. Cost is $300
Ages 12 and up
